Yes, most people can't understand my fascination with remote controls, but there's a lot of people who have made both hobbies and careers around them.  The photo at the left is my Philips Pronto remote control.  I spent many hours learning how to program it and then actually doing the programming.

All programming and testing is done on a computer and then downloaded into the Pronto.  I currently have the ability to turn on or off any device in my home including lights.  I programmed the Pronto with a touchscreen bitmap of my home's floorplan.  Any light can be controlled simply by touching it on the touchscreen.

It's a great bedroom remote, but wait'll you see what I'm planning for my family room!  Stay tuned...
